Synapse Wine Tasting room open!: Synapse Wines is an award-winning, private microwinery in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. It is owned and operated by two practicing California neuroradiologists, Bruce Ginier and Randy Knutzon and their families. They handcraft their wines to highest standards using centuries-old techniques in combination with cutting edge technology.will soon be opening their wine tasting room at the Historic Cary House Hotel.
Wellness Sanctuary and Spa is an Empowerment Resource Center located in Downtown Placerville, nestled between the beautiful Foundation Plaza and the historical Cary House Hotel. The Sanctuary is a safe place for you to authentically explore your inner world and cultivate resources for empowered living.
MONTHLY, Third Saturday, Placerville Art Walk, 5PM to 9PM. Historic Downtown Placerville. Main Street galleries and merchants host changing art shows and late night shopping every third Saturday of the month. Demonstrations, refreshments, music and more. Preview Tastings: 6PM – 8PM at the Historic Cary House Hotel. On the first Wednesday of every month, the Wineries of Fair Play preview their wines of the month with tastings, along with desserts, in the Milton Room of our hotel. No admission – open to the public. www.fairplaywine.com
AUGUST 11th: Craft
8AM - 3PM in Historic Downtown Placerville. Main Street closes to host the 17th Annual Craft Faire with over 100 artisans from all over the West featuring pottery, jewelry, woodwork, quilted and decorating items, dolls, garden items, soaps, candles, food and much, much more. Admission and parking are free. Sponsored by the Placerville Downtown Association.
AUGUST 22nd: Hangtown Car Show
5PM - 8PM. Back by popular demand is the Thursday Night car show on Historic Main Street, Placerville. Sponsored by the Placerville Lions Club. Participation is limited by the number of spaces available. Admission and parking are free for spectators.

Annual Kacie's Ride for Hope
8AM - 11AM in Historic Downtown Placerville. Main Street closes to host this important Motorcycle Run that raises awareness and funds for the fight against domestic violence. September 21st: Placerville
3PM - 8PM. This fun event will feature live music (complete with Chicken Dance and polkas!) by Grand Isle Fire Brigade Band, Wiener Dog Races, Costume Contest, Children's Games, Beer-related Games, Bavarian Dance Demos, a Silent Auction, VIP Sponsor Tables in the Biergarten and (of course) sausages, pretzels, strudel & beer. Presented by Placerville Downtown Association. Admission is free.
September 29th: Antique
8AM - 3PM in Historic Downtown Placerville. The 24th Annual Antique Street Faire closes Main Street to host antiques & collectibles peddlers for this popular event. Food, refreshments, and more. Admission and parking are free. Sponsored by the Placerville Downtown Association.
October 19th, Art
& Wine Festival
6PM - 9PM. Over 30 foothill wineries will offer samples of their wines inside merchant locations on Historic Main Street in Placerville. In addition, the works of many local artists will be featured in the galleries and the “Banners On Parade” community art project will be displayed on Main Street and sold during the silent auction that evening. Music at the Bell Tower, art demonstrations & hors d’oeuvres, too. Sample award-winning wines in one convenient location without driving to all the wineries! TICKETS ARE LIMITED for the wine-tasting and will be available in September. Sponsored by the Placerville Downtown Association.
